Last year my dreams came true and I bought the iPad Pro! I still remember my excitement while I was opening the package. But at the same time, I was a little bit nervous, because I hardly knew anything about digital art at all. And I just spent almost 1000$…
I decided to overcome my sense of uncertainty and I downloaded the Procreate – one of the most popular apps for creating digital art.
I’ve learned all of the basics thanks to this youtube tutorial for beginners. I highly recommend it at the beginning of your journey with digital art.
This is my first digital drawing. I experimented with different brushes and had a lot of fun π I was quite proud of myself at that time.
I had any knowledge about shading, line quality, or blend modes π My first month with the iPad was for discovering and exploring its functions and possibilities.
This month I discovered that shading exists π But my attempts to achieve the proper quality of my artworks were still unsattisfying.
I didn’t know how to gain the effect of glowing skin. I like my fanart of Sully Erna from Godsmack, but his skin looks very sallow.
In December I was practicing animal drawings, especially their fur. I made a collection of black and white cats. You can download it for free in my shop. Maybe you’d like to color these cats by yourself? π
Uhhhh… I hate that artwork ^^ I hate her skin and that weird background… This is a misunderstanding and I can’t believe I considered it finished.
I am passionate about the universe and I’m in love with aurora effects.
This artwork is an expression of my strong emotions. It’s really important to me. I remember that I used the color dodge effect for the first time on the heart. It brings the outstanding expression of glowing. I love that effect.
Someday I came up with an idea to create a Zodiac Sign Collection representing by girls surrounded by the universe. I made the four signs so far (Cancer, Capricorn, Leo, and Pisces) and I can’t wait until I’m finished π
What do you think about my progress? I hope you feel inspired to start your beautiful and exciting adventure with digital art!
Love, M.
