Finding my life purpose always was and still is one of the most important things for me. I truly believe that each of us was born with a unique, uncovered life aim. Furthermore, I think that to live a happy life, every person should follow her/his inner voice and guidance. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people around me who seem inauthentic and I’ve never wanted to be that kind of person.
So if you want to take some time to understand your destiny, let’s start the exciting journey of self-discovery! I’m here to help and here is what I’ve discovered so far presented in 4 steps.
(PS. I enclosed a free printable worksheet for you to discover your own life purpose. I hope you’ll enjoy it 🙂 )
Achieve a proper mindset. Pay attention to your inner self instead of trying to find your life purpose using your logical thinking. All the answers you’re looking for are in you. You just need to allow them to show up by listening to your intuition. Don’t rush into anything. Don’t be influenced by what you should do (drop the shoulds). Focus on listening to your heart’s needs and desires.
I believe that we’re all born with a set of talents and during our lifetimes we develop them into skills by constant practice. Now it’s time to ask yourself some important questions to find natural talents and predispositions you want to develop:
Take a few moments and write down all the answers. You can do this on a special worksheet. >>Click here to download<< Feel free to consult the answers for some of these questions with your close friends and family. Sometimes they know more about your abilities than you. Especially if you are a diffident person.
Spare some time to read and analyze your answers to these questions.
When I was doing this exercise I’ve discovered that I’m a hidden artist. I realized that I’ve always loved music, art, and creative activities. That was a sign I’ve been on a completely wrong track for most of my life. As a kid, I was playing the violin and painting pictures. But then my life has gone in a completely different way. I’ve studied physiotherapy (I hated it) and I was thinking that I can’t even draw so I couldn’t be an artist. Ever. And here I am, a couple of years later able to draw pretty well (click here to see my one-year drawing progress) and trying my hand in digital art.
Decide where do you want to go with your life. Look at your worksheet again.
What things go well together? Try to find as many common points as you can. I can tell you that lately, I’ve discovered an interesting Youtube channel created by Bailey Sarian. She is a very talented makeup artist passionated with true crime stories. She successfully pairs her two passions together. Keeping that in mind try to uncover and clarify your own vision. Remember that the only limit is your imagination.
You can use that worksheet as your compass for goal setting. I hope you’ll find your hidden true self and that it’ll be a great start for your new life direction.
